Dreams Beginning To Materialize

By now everyone has heard of the potential deal that may finally land us the player we have been yearning for this the season started.

The Knicks would land Carmelo Anthony for Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph, and Eddy Curry. Which in my opinion is basically a 1 for 1 trade, Chandler for Anthony. What a deal that would be.

If this is how the deal unfolds, I will have to give a lot of credit to Donnie Walsh for not being swayed or feeling the pressure to over-trade for Anthony earlier in the season. Patience is a virtue and it could pay off big time for the Knickerbockers.

Many sources, websites and fans of other teams (notably Net fans) are claiming that there is no way Denver agrees to this trade based on its return value.

I disagree.

I feel Wilson Chandler can be a very good player in this league. Borderline Allstar perhaps. So getting him back along with the pieces from Minnesota beats a sharp stick in the eye at the end of the season.

The people who are whining about how “The deal NJ offered was so much better” or “Melo was almost traded 4 times this season already, only for the trade not to happen” are forgetting one key piece. Melo never wanted to play in New Jersey. He wanted to play in New York.

My advice for those Nets fans outraged at the idea of Melo playing in NY over NJ is as follows… Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it. Sorry.
