Amare did all he could against his former team to honor MLK but it was not enough.

Ironic that on the day we honor Martin Luther King’s birthday, we lost to a team from a state that refused to honor the holiday until recently.

I’m not sure what the Knicks problems have been as of late but I do know we lost 2 crucial games at home to teams we should have beaten.

Vince Carter and Grant Hill looked like they went back in time today scoring 25 & 29 respectively. Either they found the fountain of youth in their Gatorade bottle or our defense that was recently praised for improvement has taken significant steps backwards.

Wilson Chandler also has taken a few steps back since being proclaimed as “Melo Lite”. He did score 23 but on 10-21 shooting including 2-9 from 3 point range.

I know our expectations have been raised based on what we have seen but these types of losses make it hard to become a 46-48 win team. I still believe we can win 46 games this season but we need to win this games to do so. I am not a happy camper right now.

We have Houston on Wednesday. We HAVE to win this game or I might make a left turn off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson.
