Some sense of humor the scheduling gods have. We get to play one of the hottest teams in the league one night only to follow it up by a team that appears to be re-born after the recent trade.
The Knicks have bounced back as well as you can ask with the recent wins of OKC and Chicago but now have a more daunting task at hand.
What are reasonable expectations for this two-step? 0-2? 1-1? 2-0? Well probably not 2-0.
What we can’t do is scream the sky is falling if we do in fact come back 0-2. We also can’t put our name on the Larry O’Brien trophy if we go 2-0. So maybe 1-1 is the benchmark.
Either way, we got our hands full the next 48 hours. It will be nice to see how be stand against a Miami team that is red-hot and just ate our lunch recently. I am not quite sure how we match up with Orlando and their new pieces. I’m surely a Gilbert Arenas fan but hope he doesn’t have his coming out party on Thursday.
